Enertire™

A Smart Real-Time Tire Monitoring System Enabled By Proprietary Tire Energy Harvester.

Indirect tire costs for a fleet can account for 23-50% of its total operational expenses. Inadequately monitored tires can lead to increased fuel consumption, accelerated tire wear, potential accidents, unexpected downtime, and other issues.

The Enertire™ helps fleet managers decrease fuel consumption, operation costs, downtime, and overall damage due to tire issues.

The Enertire™ is a real-time, self-powered tire sensing platform powered by an energy harvester, which is essential for supporting its array of multi-sensor features:

 

The Enertire™ sensors transmit real-time data to Enervibe’s on-board receiver, which subsequently forwards the data either to an on-board telematic control unit or directly to the cloud.

Solution Architecture

Each tire sensor-equipped wheel on the truck performs advanced computations at the edge, sending both information and raw data to Enervibe’s central unit for further analysis. The data is then transmitted to a third-party Telematic Control Unit (TCU) via wired RS232 or wireless BLE connection. From there, the TCU disseminates the information to the driver or its cloud-based fleet management system.

Enervibe’s central unit has the capability to transmit data to any cloud platform, depending on the specific requirements of the customer.

Enertire™ enables On-Board WIM (Weigh In Motion)

On-Board Weigh In-Motion is the capability of measuring and transmitting the vehicle’s weight while in motion once every few minutes or when required by the authority into which the vehicle enters.

Enertire’s WIM feature can measure the vehicle’s weight in any speed in an accuracy lower than 5% when in full load, enabling it to maintain its high speed in the highway and avoid slowing down or stopping in a weigh station.
